Valentine's Weekend in Sedona, AZ

ok so after much playing around with my blog I think i finally modified it enough to LOVE it!
It took me forever but there's a lot of cool new things that I discovered so I am very proud of myself.

So I left off on Valentine's day....
Austin, Zuke and I went up to Sedona, AZ for the weekend. The weather was amazing and we had a blast hiking and relaxing. Zuke did a great job on his first little road trip so it was nice to know we can do it again. Here are a few pictures from the trip.


 

                              

        

Happy Valentine's Day from near and far

In my family we have a very special tradition....
my mom started it when we were pretty young.
Every valentine's day she would get up really early and make an AMAZING breakfast no matter what day of the week valentine's fell on. This breakfast always included: heart shaped waffles with whipped cream and strawberries, a delicious strawberry milkshake and of course bacon and eggs ( to balance all the sweets). Everything was served on beautiful pink/red plates with festive napkins and cups. We all came together that morning and appreciated the love we all have for one another... it was always a great start to our day!
This year it is a little different. My mom, dad, irving and leo ( and our adopted grandparents from New Hampshire the Tinkers)  all live in North Carolina....Dulce and Alma moved back up to New Hampshire and I live in Arizona... we are all far apart to say the least... but the tradition lives on. I love our cute little traditions that we have made up along the years it has helped keep us close and connected even though we are so far apart....

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

my.busy.weekend....

I've been crafty this weekend.... most of the time that I have the weekend off I like to relax but this has been a busy one for me so far! I cleaned up my house, re-decorated my bathroom and bedroom, re-arranged my kitchen ( mostly to add my newest toy my kitchenaid stand mixer whoop) and then I washed my car ( mostly watched Austin wash my car while i played with zuke haha) and then I caught up with some 24. Around 9ish last night I wasn't feeling tired so I decided to bust out my crafts... let's just say you can't work on crafts for only an hour! My products aren't finished so I don't have pictures to show yet, but I do have pictures that I have been editing just for fun!

I'm sick...

So i have had this horrible sore throat and runny nose for almost a week... it is only getting worse. I had to stay home from work today because  my voice is so raspy it hurts to talk. I have been in my pajamas all weekend. It is a nice break. I did manage to find the energy to organize my kitchen and do some laundry (which i am still working on) but it's better than nothing. I feel like I need a project, something fun and new to do. I don't have a lot of time but I want to work it in somehow. I wish my apartment was bigger and I could have a craft room. I want a craft room when I buy a house. For now, my dining table will just have to do (its not like I ever use it anyways).
I have a lot of thoughts... and I don't know how to share them. I find myself losing track of time and being consumed in my thoughts. I guess I need to find myself. I need a crafty project.

I wish I wasn't sick.
