THE FOOD...

Yes I want to have a post specifically about the amazing food I got to eat! This was all inclusive and unfortunately I didn't take pictures of everything I ate just mostly the dinners. Our breakfast consisted of a buffet it had everything imaginable so of course I ate everything imaginable! Lunch also was a buffet and everyday it had something different but always included this amazing potato salad... there was also a 24/7 pizzeria which the boys enjoyed in the middle of the night and there was a deli and a burger place you could eat at at anytime... oh and let's not forget about the ALL YOU CAN EAT soft serve ice cream! oh yea... delicious at all hours of the day and night! Here are the pictures I did manage to take before I devoured my food!
Lobstah tail... and shrimp.

best.ever. chocolate melting cake & ice cream.
i had one every night.

mango soup....

jamaican jerk pork

delicious chicken....

chocolate melting cake & vanilla caramel souffle.
oh yea... i ate them both,

chocolate almond amaretto cake & chocolate
melting cake. of course.

Our dinner table.... where we were treated like royalty.
Lori, Julie, Jay, Brooke, Brandi, Austin, Beli.

Our silly servers in the background!
The blonde one was "Drazenka" pronounced "dra-jen-ka"
and she was the best ever! We miss her oh so much.

The Everglades.... Miami, Florida

We flew out of Phoenix early Friday morning to be ready to board the cruise ship early saturday morning. After a 4 hour non-stop flight to Miami we found our selves in the humidity that is Florida. We spent the afternoon relaxing and eating ( multiple times) and watching movies together. Jay ( Brooke's husband) planned an early activity for us before boarding the ship... the Everglades. Mind you I had never even heard of it and come to find out I was really terrified when I heard what they were.... being 6inches off the water while looking for alligators was not my idea of fun but I decided to be adventurous and try it anyway. Here are some pictures from the Everglades.
Alligator right next to our boat.
that's what the boats looked like.
another alligator.

I'm really bad at this

So of course like usual I always forget to update my blog.... Not too much has happened since the last post which is probably why I don't usually post, It's like I have to have to big great important thing happen for me to post it.... i guess not.
Lately it's been the same stuff.... clean, cook, clean, take care of zuke and be crafty.... oh what an exciting life I lead. We are finally going on our cruise next weekend and I am oh so excited. I of course need to go buy a new bathing suit and pack and clean my house and get Zuke all situated with my lifesavers the Biggs :) thanks again! I feel like I am coming down with something which is kind of freaking me out since I don't want to be sick on the cruise so Airborne here I come!
In preparation for the cruise Austin and I decided to do a quick 2 week diet which is supposed to make us loose anywhere from 7-15 pounds and I hope its true because I miss all my sweets and pastas! It consists of eating lots of vegetables and fruits and lean meat, everything must be broiled. No sugar, flour, starches, dairy ( barely) so it's been a tough few days... lucky for us we've had a few events which allowed us to cheat a little but hopefully we'll be good for the next week.... we've also been working out... at least Austin has, I still go on walks with Zuke a few times a day and the other day I even did the eliptical. gasp. haha.
In other news Zuke (who I feel is my child since all I do is talk about him haha) has been enjoying having me home and to tell you the truth it has really paid off because my puppy is finally potty trained and has no more accidents. We are able to leave him in either apartment (mine or austin's) and he will be good the whole time, won't even destroy anything. I think he sleeps while we're gone since its nice and quiet for once ha. Austin and I love teaching Zuke tricks! He learned how to sit when he was very young and we have  a lot of fun teaching him.... he also knows " give me a kiss" which he is so cute about, "where's mommy" which Austin says to him when I'm not in sight. He loves when we say "Wanna go Outside" because he gets sooooo excited and jumps and runs to the door and then when he is at the door I say "what do you do?" and he sits down so I can put his leash on, he is seriously so smart! And my favorite "where's the ball" and he will literally run around the house and bring me a ball to play with, he knows how to play fetch which includes bringing me the ball and dropping it.... amazing. In the last few weeks we've been trying to teach him to "shake" where he lifts his arm and shakes my hand, let's just say he was not amused while we would do it and would try to not look at me to avoid the whole fiasco... well yesterday I was making some dinner ( delicious vegetables of course) and i dropped a green pepper, let me just say that Zuke absolutely LOVES LOVES fruits and veggies so he waits for them to drop. I took a little piece of the green pepper and had him sit and then I said shake and tapped his leg and he lifted it up to shake! I was soooooo excited! Of course he got a ton more veggies because I had to show Austin and then he had to try it! It is so fun! I can't wait to teach him more tricks! I am really going to miss him while we're on the cruise :(
Today will consist of some grocery shopping, laundry, dishes and possibly packing. Austin won this raffle and won 4 tickets to a suns game so he is doing that with the boys tonight... which means I'm on my own.... we'll see what fun endeavors Zuke and I get into! :)

Here are some random pics of our little adventures....

he even sleeps with his ball!

a penny for your thoughts?

I've been a little on the sad side lately.... trying to make sense of my crazy life and I find myself not liking what I see or who I have become... or so I thought.... I saw this quote today and it really inspired me:

"In life we do things, some we wish we had never done, some we wish we could replay a million times in our heads, but they all make us who we are. In the end, those experiences shape ever detail about us. If we were to reverse any of them, we wouldn't be at the exact place that we are today. So just live, make mistakes and have wonderful times. But NEVER EVER second guess who you are, where you have been and most important, where it is that you are going"

I have made my share of mistakes of course, I'm human but it is important to understand that everything happens for a reason.... if I hadn't made all the mistakes I made ( not that I am proud) I wouldn't be where I am today and I have to be thankful that all those mistakes taught me something and made me stronger. It's so easy for me to just say oh yea I am so strong but it's a lot harder to live it.... everyday a new challenge, a new experience, a new kind of sadness.

Just my thoughts....

zuke & beli's little adventures

Sorry I've been m.i.a. for a couple of weeks...
i've been working on a project that is soon to be unveiled!

meanwhile... Zuke has been keeping me entertained and busy that's for sure!
He is learning more and more tricks and his personality is so fun that everyday is like an adventure to us...
he has recently discovered birds when we go outside and he is getting super close at catching them!
Yesterday we went for a walk around a pond and there were ducks everywhere and he saw ducks for the first time and he ran after them... lucky for him ( and me) he was on his leash otherwise he would've jumped right in to get them! It was so funny!

He also "suffers" from separation anxiety from me.... it's super funny but he can't handle it when I am not in the same room as him, he has to know what I am doing and where at all times! He was leaning on the backrest of the couch watching me on the computer falling asleep! It was so cute!

I've been busy but we've been having fun too... Austin moved out of his grandma's and got his own little condo right down the street which has been fun... We've been moving him in and getting furniture and all the stuff he needs.

We are going on a cruise next month to the Grand Caymen  Islands and Jamaica with all of Austin's family... we are soooooo excited and can't wait.

Oh yeah... Happy Birthday Mommy!!! and happy St. Patrick's day everyone!
